After a string of 12 wins, Lowell's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 8-3 to the Umpqua Valley Christian Monarchs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Monarchs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in April.

Lowell saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Barrett Straight, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Jamar Thurman was another, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Lowell's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Umpqua Valley Christian, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Lowell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Umpqua Valley Christian, they will be playing at home against Cascade Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
