While Rolesville's win against East Wake Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Eagles 6-5 on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Kaitlyn Curphey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Curphey wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Eliza Leicht, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Another was Sadie Smith, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Rolesville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Wake Academy only posted a batting average of .259.

Rolesville's record is now 5-15. As for East Wake Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Rolesville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-0 loss against Heritage on the 24th. As for East Wake Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-3 defeat against Falls Lake on the 28th.
