Douglass lost against Elkhart back in February of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Douglass Indians fell just short of the Elkhart Elks by a score of 2-1. The Indians' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Douglass' defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1. As for Elkhart, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Douglass has already played their next contest, a 6-0 win against Trinity on the 7th. As for Elkhart, they will challenge Garrison at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Garrison's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Elkhart's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
