Stone Memorial is 10-0 against the Buffaloes since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Stone Memorial Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Clarkrange Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. Clarkrange took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Stone Memorial, who comes in off a win.
Stone Memorial entered their tilt with the Wildcats with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Stone Memorial took down the Wildcats 91-77 on Friday. Stone Memorial pushed the score to 68-46 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats cut but never quite recovered from.
It was another big night for Cade Capps, who scored 40 points along with five rebounds. That makes it 20 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Stone Memorial's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Lane, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Clarkrange was the victim of a tough 62-41 defeat at the hands of the Bobcats on Friday. While losing is never fun, Clarkrange can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while the Bobcats are ranked 80th).
Stone Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Clarkrange, they dropped their record down to 5-16 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Stone Memorial against the Buffaloes in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 97-62 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Clarkrange's Jack Cordell, who scored 22 points along with eight assists.
