The West Clermont Wolves will head out on the road to  face off against  the Lakota East Thunderhawks  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. West Clermont will be strutting in after a  win while Lakota East will be coming in after a  defeat.
Having struggled with three  losses in a row, West Clermont  turned things around against Little Miami  last Friday. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of  10-6. West Clermont's victory was all the more impressive since the Panthers were averaging only 3.96 runs allowed on the season.
Meanwhile, Lakota East fell victim to Little Miami and their airtight pitching crew  on Friday. They took  a  5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 11  runs in the game before, the Thunderhawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Lakota East saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Karli Damen, who  went 1-for-3 with one  double.
 With the  defeat, Lakota East broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-8. As for West Clermont, the  win was their first  at home , bumping their record up to 4-7.
 West Clermont suffered a grim  9-0 defeat to Lakota East  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2019. Can the Wolves avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
