Edward Rivera Goes Supernova in South East Victory
Starting off the list is South East's Edward Rivera, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Rivera rushed for 211 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 50 receiving yards. Rivera is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 119 every time he's taken the field this season.
The win made it two in a row for South East and bumps their season record up to 5-3. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Jaguars takes on Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Another Game with at Least Two Rushing Touchdowns from Erick Stubbs
Erick Stubbs continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his sixth-straight game with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 47 receiving yards.
If the past is any indication, Stubbs could be in store for another big game when he takes on Huntington Park on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Stubbs saw the Spartans), he rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.

Aethan Espinosa Makes It Two for South East
The second South East player making an appearance here is Aethan Espinosa, and for good reason. He wasn't messing around on Friday, picking up two sacks and making nine total tackles (5.0 for loss). The matchup was his eighth straight with seven or more total tackles.
For the year, Espinosa has averaged 9.4 total tackles per game and for the season has 2.5 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 4.75 total tackles per game.
