AAAA Region 6B recap Sept. 26, 2012
Carver was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in AAAA Region 6B. The Panthers vanquished Columbia 28-27 earlier in the week.
Carver moved up to 158 from 299 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 28-27 win over the Eagles helped the Panthers improve their standing.
Carver's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jordan Holden has thrown for 349 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Tevish Clark has four catches for 136 yards. Derrick Johnson leads the league in rushing with 171 yards.
Washington extended the longest winning streak in AAAA Region 6B this week by beating Stone Mountain, 46-18. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
