When it comes to explaining why Calvary Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brianna Staples. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points along with eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that Staples scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taryn Wakefield, who scored 17 points.
Tatum Billie continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for NSU University, scoring 33 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Billie has scored at least a third of NSU University's points. Kimora Exum was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals.
Calvary Christian Academy dropped their record down to 5-13 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for NSU University, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
Calvary Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Jupiter Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Thursday. As for NSU University, they will head out on the road to face off against the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
