After flying high against Atlanta Classical Academy last Thursday, Centennial came back down to earth. The Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dunwoody Wildcats on Tuesday. Centennial was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Dunwoody work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 26-24.
Dunwoody found their leader in sophomore Simone Stroe, who had eight digs and two aces.
Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 7-7-1. As for Dunwoody, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Coincidentally, Centennial and Dunwoody will both be playing Sequoyah the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Chiefs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
