The Wichita Falls Coyotes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They fell to Archer City 37-31. Wichita Falls was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Archer City apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Archer City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adelyn Harvey led the charge by scoring 11 points along with five steals. Harvey continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Peters, who scored ten points.
Wichita Falls' defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-11. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.3 points per game. As for Archer City, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wichita Falls will square off against Seymour at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Archer City, they will head out on the road to face off against Prairie Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
