Last Tuesday, West Phoenix came up short against the Griffins and fell 62-51. West Phoenix has struggled against the Griffins recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way entered their tilt with the Eagles with 18 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 19. Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Eagles 74-37 at home. Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 matches by 20 points or more this season.
Branden Trujillo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points. Kaleel Johns was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
West Phoenix has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way, they pushed their record up to 24-1 with that victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.
