The Badger Braves posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Windham and snuck past 42-40. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Badger has scored all year.
Leading Badger to victory were Brianna Huscroft and Katie Grexa. Huscroft scored 11 points along with four steals, while Grexa dropped a double-double on 23 points and 18 rebounds. Grexa is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Gabriella Miller, who scored six points along with four steals.
Badger's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Windham, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Badger will be playing in front of their home fans against Mathews at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Mathews will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 734th, while Badger is ranked 265th). As for Windham, they will head out on the road to challenge Chalker at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Chalker is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
