After flying high against Brashier Middle College Charter on Thursday, Landrum came back down to earth. The Cardinals fell 2-0 to the Hillcrest Rams on Saturday. The Cardinals' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19.

Despite the defeat, Landrum saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kate Smith had ten digs. Kennedy Gardner Speech also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Landrum's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Hillcrest, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.
