The Calvary Baptist Academy Cavaliers are taking a road trip to challenge the Alexandria Trojans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Calvary Baptist Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Calvary Baptist Academy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 17-run drubbing they dealt Stanley on Friday. The Cavaliers put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 19-2 win. The Cavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 games by six runs or more this season.
Addison Willis spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Baylor Bockhaus, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Jaycee Sledge was another key player, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3.
Calvary Baptist Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Alexandria never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Glenmora 15-0. The Trojans are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the 16th contest they've won by 6+ runs this season.
Ella Melder and Mary Claire Brinkman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Melder tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Brinkman pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up a single walk in five consecutive appearances. At bat, Melder went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple, while Brinkman scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Amiyah Wilson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Grace Buckels, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.
Alexandria is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Calvary Baptist Academy, they pushed their record up to 29-0 with the win, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Saturday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Calvary Baptist Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .424. However, it's not like Alexandria struggles in that department as they've averaged .347. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Calvary Baptist Academy's way against Alexandria in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Calvary Baptist Academy made off with a 12-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavaliers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
