Narragansett Regional extended the longest winning streak in Midland Wachusett - D this week by beating Ayer, 41-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Warriors.
The Lions' Steven Gould and Bryan Hayes have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gould has thrown for 876 yards this season, while Hayes, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 27 catches for 619 yards. Maynard/Bromfield's Sean Peterson leads the league in rushing yards with 1686.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Tigers take on West Boylston/Tahanto. Maynard/Bromfield's offense has recorded 302 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Dave Tinglof's team has permitted only 96 on the year.
