The Greendale Panthers lost against the Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Greendale took a hard 70-52 fall against Wisconsin Lutheran. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Greendale in their matchups with Wisconsin Lutheran: they've now lost five in a row.
Greendale's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peyton Yoder, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Greta Dombrowski, who scored 15 points.
Greendale now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
Greendale will be playing in front of their home fans against Pewaukee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pewaukee will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, they will head out on the road to face off against Cudahy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cudahy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
