The Chicopee Comp Colts's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pittsfield. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chicopee Comp in their matchups with Pittsfield: they've now lost five in a row.
Pittsfield found their leader in underclassman Kyana Summers, who scored 17 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. Summers is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Harolyn Castillo was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six steals.
Chicopee Comp's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pittsfield, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chicopee Comp will face off against Minnechaug Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pittsfield, they will head out on the road to face off against East Longmeadow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
