The Belmont Sentinels''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Mendez, falling 50-0. Belmont has struggled against Mendez recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Kevin Magana was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 95 yards on only six carries.
Belmont's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-9 Mendez and 4-6 Contreras (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 40% over those games). As for Mendez, their victory ended a 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-9.
Belmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mendez also has no future games currently scheduled.
