The West Union Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against North Adams, falling 62-22. While losing is never fun, West Union can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 657th, while North Adams is ranked 112th).
Ashlah Staten was West Union's leading scorer, having posted 12 points.
Annabelle Mcintosh held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.
West Union has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for North Adams, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
West Union won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Williamsburg at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th. The timing is sure in Williamsburg's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while West Union has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. North Adams will take on Cincinnati Country Day at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cincinnati Country Day is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
