Fans got a thrill when Keith Wolverton and Ben Klenke connected against Columbus. The connection went for 85 yards, the longest such play in B District 5 this season.
Jessup Workman of Beatrice ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against Bennington last week. Workman's team defeated the Badgers as he sprinted for 63 yards on the play and finished with 288 in all.
Seward's dynamic duo of Wolverton and Klenke proved to be unstoppable against the Discoverers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Wolverton threw for 266 yards and 3 touchdowns and Klenke had 107 yards receiving. Seth Majerus helped Seward's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 51 yards.

Workman was the best running back in B District 5 this week. Teammate Reece Gronewold added to the ground attack by rushing for 53 yards.
Seward's Wolverton and Cale Wagner have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Wolverton has thrown for 495 yards this season, while Wagner has 4 catches for 142 yards. The Orangemen's Workman leads the league in rushing yards with 367.
The Bluejays moved up to 48 from 75 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Seward was able to make move up by besting the Discoverers 34-7.
