The Garland Owls scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat South Garland 53-22 on the road. That looming 53-22 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Garland yet this season.
Garland can attribute much of their success to Natalie Lopez, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Haley Webb, who scored ten points.
Garland's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for South Garland, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 7-14.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Wylie the next time they take the court. Garland will host Wylie at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while South Garland will host them at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
