Everett Alvarez gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Thursday. They blew past the San Lorenzo Valley Cougars 14-6. The  victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won ten  matches in a row  dating back to last season.
 Dani Amendola made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only a  hit while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. Amendola was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Michelle Wallace and  Lizbeth Ramirez did most of the damage at the plate:  Wallace  went 2-for-5 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI, while  Ramirez  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, four  runs,  and three  RBI. Those  four  RBI gave  Wallace a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Amaris Perez, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-4.
