The Windham Whippets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They walked away with an 81-70 win over Windham RVT. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Windham's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tahj Jones, who scored 21 points along with nine assists and eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Anthony Green, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Windham and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for Windham RVT, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 6-4.
Windham will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Lyman Memorial at 7:00 p.m. Windham RVT won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Vinal RVT at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Vinal RVT is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
