El Capitan never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed by the Beyer Patriots on the road  to the tune of  34-0. The Gauchos pushed the score to  27-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Patriots had  little chance of recovering from.
  Lorenzo Peters was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also picked up 40 receiving yards.  Anthony Jones got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, El Capitan was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 235  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since  back in September of 2023.
 El Capitan's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Diego Ultreras. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  making two total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging  three  interceptions.
 El Capitan now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Beyer, they now  have a losing record at 1-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, El Capitan and Waterford will dust off their jerseys to  challenge  one another  at 7:15  p.m.  on September 20th. As for Beyer, they will have a little extra prep time after the  defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Johansen at 7:00  p.m.  on September 20th.
