Madeira had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mariemont Warriors, sneaking past 8-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-3 on Friday.

Madeira's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Mariemont, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8.
