East Lincoln has gone 8-2 against Maiden recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Mustangs will challenge the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
East Lincoln had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Hickory on Friday. The Mustangs never let the Tornadoes get on the board and left with a 12-0 win.

The team relied heavily on Kaitlyn Gust, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, four stolen bases, and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Lyla Haywood was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Meanwhile, Maiden came tearing into Monday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 14-0 victory. Give the Blue Devils' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.
Raegan Rembert made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Sydney Sigmon was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ella Bryan, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Maiden hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Patton struck out 12 times.
East Lincoln's record is now 13-5. As for Maiden, their record now sits at 11-8.
Everything went East Lincoln's way against Maiden in their previous meeting back in March, as East Lincoln made off with a 15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
