On Tuesday, Pine Forest needed a bit of extra time to put away Western Harnett. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the Eagles. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.
The team relied heavily on Ja'Lynn Thomas, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since April 1st. Rylan Ditmore also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Pine Forest's record is now 14-11. As for Overhills, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Pine Forest has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447.
