Softball Recap: North Marion's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

North Marion came into Wednesday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Eastside Rams with a sharp 16-2 victory on Wednesday. The Colts not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 25th.

North Marion got a massive performance out of Ariana Turski, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave Turski a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Minchew, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

North Marion always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .880. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

North Marion picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-10. As for Eastside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6-1.

North Marion and Eastside could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. North Marion (ranked 462nd) will meet Palatka (ranked 187th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Eastside will take on Leesburg at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday down 250 places (491 vs. 241).
