A Season-Best Effort from George Wilcox Leads Leake Academy over Pillow Academy
On Friday, Leake Academy got the W thanks in part to George Wilcox playing the best football he has all season. Wilcox's passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 315 passing yards dating back to last season. He also passed for 358 passing yards, which is notable because Leake Academy is 3-1 when he posts at least 250 passing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
If history really does repeat itself, Wilcox might just drop another big game when he faces off against East Rankin Academy on Friday. Wilcox threw for 461 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.2% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground the last time he and the Patriots duked it out back in October of 2023.
