The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-14.
Makenna Miller was her usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with seven assists and three steals. Miller is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Marsh, who scored six points along with four steals.
Anselmo-Merna has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season. As for Ansley/Litchfield, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-16.
Anselmo-Merna will square off against Central Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Anselmo-Merna focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Ansley/Litchfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elba at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Elba has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
