Williston and Belleview are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2015, but not for long. The Red Devils will challenge the Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Williston is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
On Friday, Williston really took it to Trinity Catholic for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-21 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.
Williston's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from J'Dyen Manneh, who rushed for 126 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries. Manneh's longest rush was for an impressive 62 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another rusher making a difference was Kameryn Manneh, who rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Williston was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 381 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Williston didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as William Whitehurst Jr, Maverick Jones, and Danny Burchett picked up one apiece. Burchett is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last ten games he's played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Belleview's offense. They took a blow against The Villages Charter on Friday, falling 40-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Rattlers were not able to get on the board.
This is the second loss in a row for Belleview and nudges their season record down to 1-5. As for Williston, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Williston has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 279.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Belleview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 207 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Williston against Belleview in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 36-6 victory. In that contest, the Red Devils amassed a halftime lead of 36-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
