Adams has gone 4-0 against Spruce recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Adams Cougars will look to defend their home pitch against the Spruce Timberwolves at 7:30 p.m. Adams is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Adams will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating West Mesquite, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Adams beat West Mesquite by a goal, winning 3-2. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Wranglers are ranked 342nd), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Isaac Esparza and Diego Santana scored all three of Adams' goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, Spruce fell victim to Poteet and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 4-0 to the Pirates. The defeat continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost five in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Spruce fell to 2-1-2. As for Adams, their win bumped their record up to 5-0-2.

Adams skirted past Spruce 3-2 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Does Adams have another victory up their sleeve, or will Spruce turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
