Scottsdale Christian Academy has won nine straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Camp Verde has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Eagles will take on the Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Scottsdale Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
Scottsdale Christian Academy gave up the first points on Saturday, but they didn't give up any more after. They came out on top against Phoenix Christian by a score of 41-34. Scottsdale Christian Academy's victory was all the more impressive since the Cougars were averaging only 11.25 points allowed on the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Scottsdale Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sean Helgeson, who threw for 208 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 40 yards. Helgeson has been hot recently, having posted four or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Isaiah Steffen was Helgeson's top target, picking up 88 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Scottsdale Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jayce Reeter and Dom Dickerson. London Olsen was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble and making ten total tackles (1.5 for loss).
Meanwhile, while Camp Verde put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Chino Valley. The Cowboys claimed a resounding 50-0 win over the Cougars. Considering the Cowboys have won six contests by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Scottsdale Christian Academy better keep an eye on Justin Smith. He was instrumental in Camp Verde's win, rushing for 101 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Brayden Walsworth was another key player, throwing for 137 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 73.7% of his passes.
Camp Verde's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Scottsdale Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Scottsdale Christian Academy has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 195 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Camp Verde struggles in that department as they've been averaging 153.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything went Scottsdale Christian Academy's way against Camp Verde in their previous meeting back in August of 2023, as Scottsdale Christian Academy made off with a 54-34 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Cowboys' Tyson Buckley, who threw for 287 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 55 yards and one score. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Eagles to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
