Basketball Game Preview: Racine Park Panthers vs. Franklin Sabers

The Racine Park Panthers will challenge the Franklin Sabers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Racine Park knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 contests -- so hopefully Franklin likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Racine Park was fully in charge, breezing past Racine Horlick 94-49. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 23 points or more this season.

Jaxson Moss was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 25 points, nine rebounds, and ten steals. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Robinson, who went 6 for 11 en route to 16 points along with six assists and six steals.

Racine Park smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Franklin waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Eagles 80-66.

Franklin is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Racine Park, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Racine Park didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Franklin in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 66-60 victory. Will Racine Park repeat their success, or does Franklin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
