Katy Taylor came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Floresville Tigers/Jaguars 62-46. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Floresville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alissa Hilario, who posted seven points along with six rebounds and three steals. What's more, Hilario also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Amariah Ruiz was another key player, putting up 13 points and six rebounds.

Katy Taylor is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points per game. As for Floresville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.
