Franklin Academy simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Eagles 78-31 at home. That 47 point margin sets a new team best for Franklin Academy this season.
Franklin Academy was led to victory by Hayes Lewis and Tyler Pace. Lewis almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds, while Pace went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pace has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jaden Lewis, who scored nine points.
Franklin Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for East Wake Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Research Triangle the next time they take the court. East Wake Academy will head out to face Research Triangle at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Franklin Academy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
