Northwest Cabarrus is 0-10 against East Rowan since April of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. Northwest Cabarrus will host East Rowan at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Northwest Cabarrus turned things around against Central Cabarrus on Friday. They never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory.

Cooper Greene was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Northwest Cabarrus is 2-1 when Greene allowsone or fewer hits, but 1-11 otherwise. Greene was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Michael Cagiano was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, East Rowan had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They walked away with a 10-6 win over the Spiders.
Like Northwest Cabarrus, East Rowan also got a great game from a two-way player: Harrison Ailshie. On the mound, Ailshie tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Zeke Stewart pitched four innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Ailshie has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in nine consecutive appearances. At the plate, Ailshie scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5, while Stewart scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
In other pitching news, Andrew Myrick looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Logan Bradley, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.
East Rowan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Concord only managed six hits.
East Rowan pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Northwest Cabarrus, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-12.
