Lakeside has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Sheridan Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeside knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Sheridan likes a good challenge.
Lakeside pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to Lake Hamilton.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Amelia Rogers, who scored 32 points. Mckenzie Williams was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
In what's become a running theme this season, Sheridan gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past El Dorado, posting a 66-26 victory at home.
Lakeside's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-9. As for Sheridan, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
Lakeside didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Sheridan in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 60-56 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakeside since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
