After flying high against Varsity Opponent last Friday, the Union Christian Day Eagles came back down to earth. Union Christian Day took a 40-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Palmetto Christian Academy.
Despite the loss, Union Christian Day saw an underclassman step up: Eli Gage scored 20 points. Gage scored a full 57.1% of Union Christian Day's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Kaden White was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Union Christian Day's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Union Christian Day will look to defend their home court on Friday against Thornwell at 6:00 p.m. As for Palmetto Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against GREEN Upstate at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
