Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oak Forest Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Garrett Shoemaker, who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Shoemaker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trendan Spears, who scored 12 points along with six assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Parklane Academy at home against Bowling Green two weeks ago as the squad secured a 63-26 win. Given Parklane Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 24th in Mississippi, while Bowling Green is ranked 190th in Louisiana), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Oak Forest Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Parklane Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4.
