Adding to the longest winning streak in 4A KingCo - Crown this week, Skyline beat Bothell 28-14. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Newport's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. JP Routen threw for 64 yards and Drew Sample had 64 yards receiving. On the ground Conner Baumann chipped in 241 yards.
The Knights' dynamic duo of Routen and Sample proved to be unstoppable against Woodinville, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Baumann was a force in the backfield as Newport topped the Falcons.
Baumann provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Mike Miller's team beat Woodinville. Baumann's favorite target this week was Sample, who caught 3 passes for 64 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Kilton Anderson of Skyline is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,317. He has also thrown 8 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Siddique Newkirk. The Ballard star has 23 catches for 374 yards.
The Knights made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 654 from 773. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 49-24 victory over Wayne Maxwell's team last week.
