The Olympic Trojans lost against the North Kitsap Vikings back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Olympic lost to North Kitsap on the road by a decisive 39-22 margin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Olympic in their matchups with North Kitsap: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Olympic lost, one person who can't be blamed is Riley Mccoy. Despite the final result, he rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns.
Even if they lost, Olympic's defensive line sure didn't make it easy: North Kitsap's QB was sacked three times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Silas Mcavoy and his two sacks.
North Kitsap's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cole Edwards, who threw for 223 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes, and also punched in a rushing scores. North Kitsap also got help from Lelond Anderson who showed off his sure hands for 92 receiving yards.
Olympic has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for North Kitsap, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
