Lapwai came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Troy Trojans 68-19. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lapwai to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amasone George, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 14 points in addition to six boards and three steals. That's the most rebounds George has posted since back in December of 2024. Lois Oatman was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 11 points along with six boards and three steals.

Lapwai smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Lapwai's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Troy, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
