The South Spencer Rebels scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 67-56 victory over Forest Park. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Molly Schulte was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and ten assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sally Shelton, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
South Spencer's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Forest Park, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Spencer will challenge Tell City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tell City has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Forest Park, they will head out on the road to take on Mt. Vernon at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mt. Vernon has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 13.
