In what's become a running theme this season, the Zavalla Eagles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Chester 58-23 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Zavalla.
When it comes to explaining why Chester lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kyli Handley. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Zavalla has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for Chester, their loss dropped their record down to 13-15.
Zavalla will head out on the road to challenge the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chester, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Brookeland is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games.
