The Glencoe Yellowjackets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hayden 73-21 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Glencoe who now have seven in a row.
Glencoe's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evelyn Nowak led the charge by scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Libby King, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Glencoe's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Hayden, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Glencoe's road trip will continue as they head out to face Douglas at 1:30 p.m. on December 27th. Hayden will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mortimer Jordan at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Mortimer Jordan will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
