In other batting news, Chris Ritchie was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Liam O'Laughlin, who went 2-for-5 with one double.
Mechanicsburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Southeastern Local fell victim to West Jefferson and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Roughriders, falling 14-0.
Mechanicsburg's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. As for Southeastern Local, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.
Southeastern Local's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mechanicsburg hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323.
