It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Windsor Yellowjackets ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 68-65 win over Brattleboro. The victory was some much needed relief for Windsor as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Johnathon Haskins, who scored nine points.
The victory got Windsor back to even at 5-5. As for Brattleboro, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Windsor will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodstock at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Woodstock is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Brattleboro, they will square off against Mt. St. Joseph Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Vermont (Mt. St. Joseph Academy is ranked 50th, while Brattleboro is ranked 35th).
