While losing is never fun, Grand County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Braves are ranked 15th).
Grand County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cadence Kasprick, who scored five points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Trinity Bryant who scored five points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Kasprick has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.
North Summit was led to victory by Hartlynn Richins and Hayzlyn Murdock. Richins scored 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds, while Murdock scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. This is the second loss in a row for Grand County and nudges their season record down to 10-7. As for North Summit, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
