Orange is 1-9 against Chagrin Falls since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. Orange can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against West Geauga and snuck past 46-44. The victory was just what Orange needed coming off of a 62-22 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Chagrin Falls' good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 52-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Aurora.
Lilly Stukus put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 19 points along with three steals. That was a full 44.2% of Chagrin Falls' points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Abby Kay was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Orange's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Chagrin Falls, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.
Orange lost to Chagrin Falls at home by a decisive 54-40 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Stukus, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds.
